Engaging your Back Body
Join me for a 90-minute workshop on how to get more out of your yoga practice by engaging your back body. We will go through some anatomy and function of the glutes, hamstrings, and other important posterior chain muscles, then apply what we have learned in an all levels active practice. Expect to learn and work!

Yoga for Bone Health
This 90-minute workshop focuses on your bones and how to help you body retain bone mass. We’ll look at how bone matter is made in the body and what osteoporosis actually means. Then, we will spend an hour practicing specific yoga poses in a Hatha class. In Hatha, we move carefully from one pose to the next instead of flowing to connect the postures. We’ll leave time for questions and answers at the end, so please bring some!

Healthy Hamstrings
Hamstrings are important muscles for any yoga or Pilates practice. They are often a source of discomfort and most people believe the discomfort occurs because they are inflexible, which can be true, but is most often not the case. More likely, they are weak and the hamstring weakness is causing the discomfort and is also what makes them harder to stretch. This workshop will explain and use the new exercise science around stretching, such as strengthen to lengthen, then work the hamstrings in order to allow the deeper stretches to make a difference in our bodies. Everyone is welcome! Expect and interactive 2 hours and feel free to take notes!

The Power of Touch: Learning the Art of Adjustments and Assists
Take your teaching to the next level with this workshop focused on giving energetically skillful and attentive hands-on assists. In this one hour and 45-minute workshop, we will dive into alignment principles that can be applied to a wide range of asana assists. We will start with a 15-minute flow to warm up the body and center the mind before quickly discussing the importance of touch and professionalism in a yoga class.  The majority of the workshop will be hands-on, practical and pull from Liz’s 7 years of teaching experience and 14 years of trainings. Bringing a friend to practice the assists with is a great idea, but not required. There will be time at the end for attendees to ask for particular asanas if they have not already been covered.  This is an exclusive teachers’ advancement workshop. It is for the yoga teacher, or teacher in training, looking to gain knowledge and confidence in using his/her own bodily intuition to enable him/her to provide energetic, strong, and somewhat intimate assists and adjustments.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

“Liz is a thoughtful and intuitive teacher. She reads the room and gives her students a personalized class that suits their level of experience, their physical limitations, and their expectations every time.”
